Madeline's Pet Gallery
My first pet was a cat named Hercules (right). He was a good boy, but alas he was also an old boy, and so his time came to an end when I was in high school (may he rest in peace). I also had a cat named Baby Kitty (left), a demon in fur clothing. She was very small, and perhaps because of that she developed anxiety and had to go live with my grandparents, who live a much more low key lifestyle. She is now thriving.

Martha is my baby. She is a lab mix, and the most beautiful dog in the world.

But like all of us, she sometimes gets a little mad.

She can also go stealth mode.

Here she is looking classy in black and white.

And here she is being the best girl in our family portrait.

Creation Process

All work was done on a Mac.

"Hercules and Baby Kitty" was drawn in Autodesk Sketchbook. It was also made transparent in GIMP, although you can't really tell on the white background.

"Martha" was taken by my sister Audrey.

"Demonic Martha" was made using the Supernova filter twice in GIMP.

"Stealth Martha" was made using the Predator filter in GIMP.

"Classy Martha" was made using the Newsprint filter in GIMP.

"Martha and Her Sisters" was made in Autodesk Sketchbook by placing Martha's head from her photo above onto my brother's head in the following family portrait (I hope he is not offended):
